Yun-lin and Chia-yi Network Regional Center Hosts Inaugural Management Meeting and Cybersecurity Seminar

On May 23, 2025, the Yun-lin and Chia-yi Network Regional Center, in collaboration with Stark Technology Inc., successfully held its first management meeting and cybersecurity seminar at the Hsin Hotel in Chiayi. The event attracted a diverse group of professionals from the education sector and cybersecurity industry.

Cellopoint was honored to participate in the seminar, where Mr. Ken Yu, Project Manager at Cellopoint, delivered a presentation titled "Social Engineering Email Traps." He provided an in-depth analysis of the evolving tactics employed by cybercriminals, highlighting the increasing complexity of attacks that now often combine malicious URLs, malware, social engineering, and spoofing techniques.

Mr. Yu illustrated these points with real-world examples, such as compromised email accounts with weak passwords being used to send malicious emails, thereby damaging the institution's IP reputation and facilitating the spread of viruses.
